Ever wonder which promotions are most popular or want to audit the discounts being applied during a shift? The Discounts view in NX Mobile provides total transparency into every price adjustment made at your venue. This tool is essential for managing food costs and ensuring your promotional events are hitting the mark! 🎯
📱 Navigating the Discounts View
Access this screen by tapping the Discounts tile on your Venue Dashboard. To help you find exactly what you're looking for, you can organize the data in two ways:
By Event: This tab groups all discounts by the specific promotion type (e.g., "Employee 30%"). It’s perfect for seeing the total impact of a specific sale or perk.
By Employee: Use this tab to see which staff members are applying the most discounts—a great way to monitor for consistency and training opportunities.
🔍 Digging into the Details
Each entry in the list provides a comprehensive breakdown of the discount "event," so you never have to guess why a price was changed:
Discount Name & Total: At the top of each section, you'll see the name of the discount (e.g., Employee 30%) followed by the total dollar amount saved and the number of times it was used.
Specific Check Info: Each individual discount shows the Check Name or number it was applied to (e.g., "2 - jamie").
The "What" and "When": You can see the exact Item that was discounted (e.g., "Loco Queso Fundito & Chips") and the precise Time the discount was applied.
Dollar Impact: The specific savings for that line item is clearly displayed on the right.
💡 Why This Matters
Audit with Ease: If you notice a high amount of discounts on a specific shift, you can quickly scroll through to see if they were valid "Employee Meals" or unexpected "Comps".
Search Function: Use the Search Bar at the top to find a specific item or check name instantly.
Date Selection: Just like your main dashboard, use the Date Bar 🗓️ to look back at the performance of past happy hours or holiday promotions.

I see a discount I didn't authorize!
The Discounts view is for reporting; to adjust or remove a discount, you will need to access the original check on an NX POS terminal with the appropriate manager permissions. 🔐
A discount is appearing as $0.00.
This may happen if the discount was applied to an item that was already free or if the discount was a "100% off" comp that cleared the entire item price.
I want to see the total discounts for the whole month.
