Connecting Your Ecosystem: Venue Integrations
In modern restaurant operations, your POS doesn't live on an island. Whether you need to sync sales data with your accounting software, send orders to a specialized kitchen display, or manage physical signage, the Integrations area is where you bridge the gap between NX Restaurant and your favorite third-party tools.
To manage these connections, navigate to Venue > Integrations in the left-hand sidebar.
1. Viewing Active Integrations
The main Integrations dashboard provides an at-a-glance look at your connected ecosystem:
Integration List: See all currently configured partners, such as E-Card Systems, Quickbooks, or Restaurant365.
Last Connected: This column shows the exact timestamp (e.g.,
2026-02-14 10:01 PM) of the last successful communication between NX and the partner service. This is your first stop if you suspect data isn't syncing correctly.Management Tools: Use the Edit (pencil) icon to update credentials or settings, or the Delete (trash can) icon to remove an integration entirely.
2. Adding a New Partner
Ready to expand your capabilities? Adding a new connection is a straightforward process:
Click the + New button at the bottom of the integration list.
On the Setup tab, use the Integration Partner dropdown to search for and select your provider.
Available Partners Include:
Accounting & Reporting: Quickbooks Desktop, Restaurant365, QSR Online.
Kitchen: QSR Automations KDS.
Gift Cards & Loyalty: Valutec, E-Card Systems.
Specialty: Vestaboard (for physical split-flap displays).
3. Reviewing Sync History
If you need to dig deeper into how your data is moving, the History tab (found inside a specific integration's settings) provides a log of past sync attempts. This is an invaluable tool for your accounting team or technical support to ensure every dollar and order is accounted for in your external systems.
Pro Tip: Before setting up a new integration, ensure you have your account credentials or API keys ready from the partner service. Most integrations require these "digital keys" to establish a secure handshake with the NX platform.
