Master Your Workflow with the NX Portal Launchpad
Think of the Launchpad as your personal mission control center within the NX Portal. Instead of digging through menus to find your most-used tools, the Launchpad lays everything out in a clean, searchable grid format. Best of all, it allows you to customize your experience by "favoriting" the tasks you do most often.
Since every user—from a Head Chef to a General Manager—has different priorities, these favorites are custom to your specific user login.
Navigation at a Glance
The Launchpad is designed to get you where you need to go in seconds:
Global Search: Use the search bar at the top to quickly find any page in the portal without clicking through navigation categories.
Visual Icons: Every section of the portal (Employees, Reports, Items, etc.) is represented by a large, easy-to-read icon.
All-Access View: View all navigation options in one high-level format, making it easy to see exactly what features are available to you.
Customizing Your "Favorites"
You can pin your most frequent tasks to the top of the Launchpad and your Dashboard by using the Favorites feature.
Locate the Tool: Find the icon for the page you use often (e.g., "Reports" or "Time Cards").
Toggle the Star: Click the small gold star in the top-right corner of the icon.
Instant Access: Once starred, these tools move into the Favorites section at the very top of your Launchpad.
Dashboard Sync: These same favorites will also appear on your main Dashboard, so they are the first thing you see when you log in.
Why Use Favorites?
Speed: Skip 3–4 clicks by putting "Payroll" or "Order Viewer" front and center.
Personalization: Your favorites won't clutter up your teammate's screen. Your Launchpad is yours alone.
Consistency: Whether you are on the Dashboard or the Launchpad, your "Go-To" tools are always in the same spot.
Pro Tip: If your role changes or you're focusing on a new project (like updating menus), just un-star your old favorites and star the new ones to keep your workspace clean!
