⭐ Assigning an NX POS Device Subscription
When a new device is brought online — or when moving a subscription from one device to another — you may need to assign an NX POS Device Subscription. This subscription allows the POS device to connect to the NX Cloud and operate as a licensed station.
NX POS Subscriptions are managed directly from the POS App, under the Device Info → Manage Subscription section.
This guide walks you through the entire process step-by-step.

📲 Accessing the Manage Subscription Menu
- From the NX POS login screen, tap the Cloud icon ☁️ in the top-right corner.
- Tap Device Info.

🔧 Open the Subscription Manager
Inside the Device Info screen:
- Look for the Manage Subscription button (bottom row).
- Tap Manage Subscription.

🔄 Viewing or Changing the Assigned Subscription
You will now see the NX POS Device Subscriptions dialog.
- The currently assigned subscription (if any) will appear in the dropdown.
- To change the subscription, open the dropdown list.

🆔 Selecting the Correct Subscription
In the dropdown list:
- Choose the subscription labeled with your desired NX Station assignment.
- Subscriptions are usually shown as:
NX Subscription – XXXX - Select the NX Subscription then press the Claim button

Once a subscription is selected:
- The device is immediately licensed and activated
- NX Cloud connectivity will turn green in Device Info
- The device can now operate normally as a POS, KDS, Kiosk, Menu Board, or other supported mode
🔥 OPTIONAL: Releasing a Subscription
If needed:
- Tap Release to unassign the subscription from the device.
- This is typically done before assigning the subscription to a new device.
⚠️ Releasing a subscription will require the device to be re-assigned before it can operate as a POS.
📝 Additional Notes
- Each NX POS subscription can be assigned to only one device at a time
- Subscriptions persist through reboots
- If a device is wiped or replaced, simply reassign the subscription to the new hardware
- Demo Mode (POS No Subscription) is still available via Change Mode if needed
