Go! Tap the GO button to enter the application.
Pro Tip: If you forget your PIN/Access Code, your manager can easily reset it for you in the NX Portal under the "Employees" tab.
Understanding the Cloud Icon
The Cloud Icon is located in the top-right corner of your login screen. It acts as a real-time health check for your system, changing colors based on your connection status.
The Color Codes
White/Black (Online): Your device is connected to the internet, your credit card processor is ready, and your data is syncing to the cloud.
Red (Offline/Unreachable): You have lost connection to the internet or the credit processor. NX POS will automatically enter Offline Mode, allowing you to keep taking orders which will sync once the connection is restored.
Using the Info Menu
When you tap the Cloud Icon, the Info menu appears, giving you quick access to essential tools and support information:
Help Center: Instantly displays the online NX Restaurant Help Center for quick guides and troubleshooting.
Support: Displays contact information for your support provider and allows you to send them a message directly from the POS.
Device Info: Shows detailed information about the device and its current connectivity. This is also where support providers can adjust device modes or manage subscriptions.
Printing: Lists all configured and detected printing devices. Tapping a specific printer will send a test print job to verify the connection.
Payments: Displays merchant and payment device details. Support partners can also use this area to initiate device configurations.
Refresh: Selecting this forces a full refresh of the NX POS application to ensure everything is up to date.
Troubleshooting Quick Tips
Icon is Red? Check your device's Wi-Fi settings to ensure you are connected to the correct restaurant network.
