📲 Sending Receipts from NX POS
Overview ✨
NX POS makes it easy to send guest receipts digitally via SMS or Email, reducing paper usage and giving guests a convenient way to keep their receipt. Receipts can be sent at any time while the order is open or after payment has been completed.
Where to Find Send Receipt 🧭
Order List
The Send Receipt button can be found in the Order Actions button (three vertical ellipses ⋮) from the Order List
Order Entry
Once an order is on screen, the Send Receipt option is accessed from the Order Commands panel.
Navigation Path:
- Open the order on the POS
- Tap the Order Actions button (three vertical ellipses ⋮)
- Select Order Info
- Scroll through Order Commands
- Tap Send Receipt
This opens the Send Receipt prompt.
Sending a Receipt 📤
When Send Receipt is selected, the POS will display receipt delivery options.
Available Delivery Methods:
- 📩 SMS (Text Message)
SMS Receipt
- Select the SMS icon
- Confirm or enter the guest’s phone number
- Tap Send
Email Receipt
- Select the Email icon
- Enter the guest’s email address
- Tap Send
Once sent, the receipt is delivered immediately.
Important Notes ⚠️
- Receipts can be sent before or after payment
- Sending a receipt does not close the order
- SMS receipts require a valid mobile number
- Email receipts require a properly formatted email address
- Printed receipts can still be used alongside digital receipts if desired 🖨️

- ✅ Verify contact details before sending
