Performing a Paid Out in NX Restaurant from POS
A Paid Out records money taken out of the cash drawer that is not tied to a sale. This is commonly used for cash reimbursements, petty cash purchases, or vendor payments. Paid Outs are configured in the NX Restaurant Portal and must be performed by employees with appropriate permissions at the POS.
Steps to Perform a Paid Out at the POS
1. Access the Manager Menu
- While logged in to the POS, tap the Utility Menu (three-line icon) in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select Manager Menu from the dropdown list.
⚠️ Note: The Manager Menu is only visible to users with the correct permissions. If you do not see this option, contact your manager or NX Support Partner.
2. Select Paid Out
- In the Manager Menu, tap Paid Out.
- If the Paid Out option is greyed out, it means your role does not have the required permissions to perform this function.
3. Record a New Paid Out
- Tap the New button in the bottom left corner of the Paid Out screen.
- Fill out the required details based on how the Paid Out was configured in the portal. This may include:
- Type of Paid Out (e.g., Reimbursement, Expense)
- Tender type used (e.g., Cash)
- Amount
- Source or description (if required)
-
Select Continue when ready to proceed.
4. Print Vouchers
- If voucher printing is enabled, the system will automatically print the configured number of Paid Out vouchers after completion.
- You may also print additional vouchers by selecting the Paid Out and then tapping the Reprint option in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Important Notes
- Only users with the “Allow Paid Out” permission will be able to access and complete this function.
- The fields and restrictions are determined by how the Paid Out was configured in the NX Restaurant Portal.
- Paid Outs are tracked in reporting and deducted from the drawer total during reconciliation.
