Performing a Paid In in NX Restaurant from POS
A Paid In records funds added to the cash drawer that are not tied to a customer sale. This is commonly used for event deposits, adding change to the drawer, or transferring funds. Paid Ins are configured in the NX Restaurant Portal and must be performed by employees with appropriate permissions at the POS.
Steps to Perform a Paid In at the POS
1. Access the Manager Menu
- While logged in to the POS, tap the Utility Menu (three-line icon) in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select Manager Menu from the dropdown list.
⚠️ Note: The Manager Menu is only visible to users with the correct permissions. If you do not see this option, contact your manager or NX Support Partner.
2. Select Paid In
- In the Manager Menu, tap Paid In.
- If the Paid In option is greyed out, it means your role does not have the required permissions to perform this function.
3. Record a New Paid In
- Tap the New button in the bottom left corner of the Paid In screen.
- Fill out the required details based on how the Paid In was configured in the portal. This may include:
- Type of Paid In (e.g., Deposit, Account Credit)
- Tender type used (e.g., Cash, Credit)
- Amount
- Source or description (if required)
-
Select Continue when ready to proceed.
4. Print Vouchers
- If voucher printing is enabled, the system will automatically print the configured number of Paid In vouchers after completion.
- You may also print additional vouchers by selecting the Paid In and then tapping the Reprint option in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Important Notes
- Only users with the “Allow Paid In” permission will be able to access and complete this function.
- The fields and tenders available are determined by how the Paid In was set up in the NX Restaurant Portal.
- All Paid Ins are tracked in reports and used for financial reconciliation.
