Some menu items in NX Restaurant can be configured to prompt for quantity automatically when selected. This setting helps streamline the ordering process for items typically sold by piece count or per person.

1. What is Quantity Prompting?

• Quantity prompting is a configuration set on individual menu items.

• When the item is selected, a quantity keypad automatically appears.

• This allows the server to enter the desired number of items without needing to manually adjust it afterward.

2. When to Use It

• Ideal for items sold by count, such as:

  • Oysters by the piece

  • Wings by quantity

• It reduces the need to ring the same item multiple times or adjust quantity manually.

3. How It Works

Step 1: Select the Menu Item

• Tap on a menu item that is configured to prompt for quantity.

Step 2: Enter Quantity When Prompted

• A keypad will appear automatically.

• Enter the desired number and confirm.

Step 3: Review the Order

• The item will appear on the order with the specified quantity.

• Continue building the order or tap Save when complete.
