Splitting Items to an Existing Order in NX Restaurant

In NX Restaurant, you can use the Split Order View to transfer one or more items from an active order to an existing order. This is useful when guests move between tables, combine parties, or request shared checks across multiple orders.

1. What is Splitting to an Existing Order?

• This function moves selected items from one order to another that has already been started.

• Both orders remain independent but reflect the changes in item distribution.

2. Accessing Split Order View

Step 1: Open the Original Order

• Navigate to the active table or tab with the items to be transferred.

• Tap to open the order screen.

Step 2: Enter Split Order View

• Tap the Options button from the bottom command bar.

• Select Split Order View to enter split mode.

3. Moving Items to an Existing Order

Step 1: Select the Items to Move

• Tap the item(s) that need to be transferred.

• Selected items will be highlighted.

Step 2: Tap the Search Orders Button

• Select Search Orders button to pull up a list of orders you can transfer to.

Step 3: Choose the Destination Order

• The system will display a list of eligible existing orders.

• Select the appropriate table, tab, or order name from the list.

Step 4: Move Items to Transfer

• Select the desitnation order to move the items.

• The items will now appear on the selected existing order.

4. Finalizing the Orders

• The original order will be updated to reflect only the remaining items.

• The existing order will now include the transferred items and can be managed separately.

• Seelct the Back Button when done moving items between seats and orders.
