Using Split Order View in NX Restaurant

The Split Order View in NX Restaurant allows servers to move items between seats, creating separate checks while keeping all seats associated with the same order, table, or tab. This method provides greater control when managing multiple payments for a group.

What is Split Order View?

• Split Order View allows for detailed item distribution between seats under the same order.
• Each seat can be paid separately while still being linked to the same table or tab.
• This method is useful for guests who request individually itemized checks.

Accessing Split Order View

Step 1: Open the Order

• Navigate to the table or tab with the active order.

Step 2: Select Split Order

• Tap the Order Options three vertical dots in the check header. It looks like this >   

   

Moving Items Between Seats

Step 1: Select an Item to Move

• Tap on the item(s) you want to move to another seat.
• Selected items will be highlighted.

Step 2: Assign the Item to a Seat

• Tap New Seat to create a new seat if needed.
• Tap on the header or the blank area of the Seat to move the items.

Step 3: Repeat as Needed

• Continue moving items and creating Seats until the order is split as required.

Finalizing the Split

• When finished, navigate back to the main order view.
• Each seat will now have its own check under the same order.
• The order can then be tendered individually per seat.
• You can swipe between the seats by sipping left and right in the Balance Due are of the on screen order or tapping the circle icons.
