Sending a Test Print Job in NX Restaurant
In NX Restaurant, you can quickly verify that a printer or KDS device is connected and working by sending a test print job.
Steps to Send a Test Print Job
- Locate the Cloud Icon
- In the top-right corner of the POS, tap the cloud icon.
- This opens the Device Info window.
- Open the Printer Tab
- In Device Info, tap the Printer tab (printer icon).
- A list of all configured printers and KDS devices will appear.
- Status icons indicate each device’s connection state:
- ✅ Green checkmark – Connected and functioning
- ⚠️ Red warning – Not reachable or incorrect configuration
- Select a Device to Test
- Tap the name of the printer or KDS device you want to test.
- The system will send a test print job (or test order for KDS) to confirm connectivity.
- Review the Results
- If the test job prints successfully, the device is connected.
- If the test fails, check the device’s network connection and configuration in the NX Restaurant portal.
Tip: This process can be performed from any POS device, making it easy to confirm device connectivity during service.
