Splitting to a New Order Using Split Order View in NX Restaurant
The Split Order View in NX Restaurant allows servers to move items from an existing order to a new order, keeping all necessary details intact. Depending on venue configuration, the system may prompt for additional details such as selecting a table, entering a guest name, or assigning another identifier.
Accessing Split Order View
Step 1: Open the Order
- Navigate to the table or tab with the active order.
Step 2: Select Split Order
- Tap the Order Options three vertical dots in the check header. It looks like this >
Moving Items to a New Order
Step 1: Select Items to Move
- Tap on the item(s) you want to move to a new order.
- Selected items will be highlighted.
Step 2: Choose "New Order"
- Tap the New Order button to begin the transfer process.
Step 3: Select Table or Other Identifiers
- If the venue uses a Floor Plan, the system will prompt for a table selection.
- If the venue is configured differently, it may request a guest name or other identifiers instead.
- Select the appropriate option and confirm.
Step 4: Complete the Split
- Once confirmed, the items will move to the newly created order.
- The original order remains unchanged, except for the removed items.
