Recalling an Existing Order from the Floor Plan in NX Restaurant
This guide explains how to recall an existing order using the Floor Plan in NX Restaurant. The Floor Plan provides a visual layout of the restaurant’s tables and allows employees to manage orders efficiently.
1. Accessing the Floor Plan
Step 1: Open the Floor Plan View
-
The Floor Plan may be the first screen displayed when accessing the POS.
-
If not, it can be accessed through the Utility Menu in the top right corner of the screen by selecting Floor Plan.
Step 2: Identify the Table with an Existing Order
-
Tables that already have active orders will be visually distinguished (e.g., highlighted or marked with an indicator).
-
Locate the correct table where the order was started.
2. Recalling an Order
Step 1: Select the Table
-
Tap on the table with the existing order.
-
The system will open the order details associated with that table.
Step 2: Review and Manage the Order
-
Once the order screen opens, you can:
-
Add new items to the order.
-
Apply Discounts or Voids to existing items (if permissions allow).
-
Process a payment to close out the order.
-
3. Venue-Based Access Restrictions
-
Some venues may restrict access to tables based on assigned ownership.
-
If you are not the original server for a table, you may be required to obtain manager approval or server permission to access or edit the order.
-
If an access restriction applies, a prompt will appear requesting manager authorization before making changes.
