How to Factory Reset Your NX Tablet (NX6 & NX15) ๐
There are times when you might need a fresh start! Whether you're troubleshooting a persistent issue or preparing a device for a new location, performing a Factory Reset restores your tablet to its original out-of-the-box settings.
โ ๏ธ Important Note: A factory reset will erase all data on the device. Please ensure you have coordinated with your manager before proceeding. To complete these steps, you will need a Device Password. Please contact NX Support to obtain this before you begin!
Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these simple steps to reset your NX6 or NX15 tablet:
Open the Info Menu
From your main POS screen, tap the Cloud icon. You will see a grid of options. Tap on Device Info.
Access Device Settings
On the Device Info summary page, look for the white button at the bottom right labeled Device Settings and tap it.
Switch to Admin Mode
You are now in the Esper Settings menu. To make big changes, you need to be in Admin Mode. Tap the purple button at the bottom center that says SWITCH TO ADMIN MODE.
Enter Your Password
An authentication prompt will appear. Type in the Device Password provided by NX Support and tap Continue.
Locate Factory Reset
Now that you are in Admin Mode, scroll down the list of settings until you find Factory Reset (Restore factory default data and settings). Tap it.
Confirm the Reset
To prevent accidental resets, the system will ask you to confirm. Type the word RESET (in all caps) into the text field provided.
Finalize
Once you confirm, the tablet will begin the wipe process and reboot automatically.
