Connecting NX Devices to Wi-Fi

NX devices can connect to Wi-Fi in a few different ways depending on how your POS terminal is configured. Whether you’re in Multi App Mode, Kiosk Mode, or on the NX Loading Screen, the connection process is quick and simple once you access Esper Settings.

🔹 Methods to Access Wi-Fi Settings

You can access Wi-Fi settings in three different ways, depending on what screen your device is currently on:

Option 1: From Multi App Mode

If you see the standard Android desktop (with multiple app icons):

1. Tap Esper Settings from the Android home screen. 
2. Follow the steps to connect from Esper Settings.

Option 2: From within NX

If your device is running NX and shows the NX Login Screen or KDS Screen:

1. Tap the Cloud icon in the upper-right corner. 
2. Select Device Info. 
3. Tap Device Settings (bottom-left corner). 
4. Then follow the steps to connect from Esper Settings.

Option 3: From the NX Loading Screen

If your device is on the NX Loading Screen (before login):

1. Tap the NX logo three times within 10 seconds. 
2. This opens Esper Settings directly. 
3. Then follow the steps to connect from Esper Settings.

⚙️ Connecting from Esper Settings

Once you’ve opened Esper Settings (using any of the above methods):

1. Select Wi-Fi 
   1. Tap Wi-Fi to view available networks. 
2. Choose Your Network
   1. Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to. 
3. Enter Password
   1. Enter the Wi-Fi password and tap Connect. 
4. Return to NX
   1. Once connected, tap the Back Arrow in the top-left corner of the screen until you return to the Android Desktop or NX Application. 
   2. If in Multi App Mode, relaunch NX Restaurant. 

✅ Quick Tips

• Ensure your POS device is within strong Wi-Fi range for a stable connection. 
• Avoid guest or captive-portal networks that require extra logins. 
• If you don’t see your Wi-Fi network, tap the refresh icon or toggle Wi-Fi off and on again.
