π Connecting Your Delivery Partners (UberEats, DoorDash, & More)
Managing multiple delivery apps can be a headache, but NX Restaurant makes it simple! By connecting your third-party delivery services (DSPs) directly to your POS, you can sync your menu and manage orders all in one place.
Follow this guide to get your venue linked and ready for orders! π
Before You Start
To make sure everything goes smoothly, please check these things:
Credentials: Have your provider login credentials ready. These will be used to connect NX to the Provider.
Disconnect Other Systems: Some providers, such as UberEats, require you to disconnect any other integrations prior to syncing with NX.
Select Your Venue: Ensure you have selected the correct restaurant location from your main dashboard.
Find the Settings: Head over to Ordering > Delivery Providers in your side menu.
Step 1: Start the Setup π οΈ
First, we need to tell the system that this location is ready to handle delivery.
On the Providers tab, click the Setup Providers button.
The system will automatically generate your "Location" and "Store" details.
Once the loading is finished, verify that your address and store info are visible on the screen.
Step 2: Configure Your Venue Settings βοΈ
Now, let's make sure the "brain" of the integration is set up correctly.
Click on the Configuration tab.
Check that the DSP field is set to KitchenHub.
Area & Menu Set: Ensure these match your specific dining area and the menu you want to sell online.
Pricing (Optional): * If you want to increase your prices for delivery (to cover commission), enter a percentage in the Fee box.
Important: If you add a fee, ensure the Fee Type is set to Seat and Calculation Type is set to Percent.
Setting Up Your Tenders (Payments) π°
This tells your POS how to record the money coming in.
Simple Setup: Youβll see a "Default" line. Just select your preferred tender (like "Delivery") from the dropdown.
Specific Setup: Want to see exactly how much came from UberEats vs. DoorDash? Click Add Tender to create a separate line for each service.
Step 3: Publish Your Menu π
Before we go live, we need to "push" your menu items to the delivery cloud.
Click the Menu tab.
Click the big Publish Menu button.
Wait for the green "Success" message!
Note: If you see an error here, please stop and contact our support teamβweβll need to fix your menu formatting before you can move forward.
Step 4: Link Your Delivery Accounts π
Itβs time to sign in to your apps!
Go back to the Providers tab.
Under Integration Accounts, find the app you want (e.g., DoorDash) and click +Add.
A new window will pop up. Sign in with your username and password for that specific delivery platform.
Follow the prompts on their screen to grant NX Restaurant permission to manage your orders.
Step 5: Verify & Go Live! β
Back in the NX Portal, click Refresh next to Integration Accounts.
Your app should now say "Connected."
Set Your Hours: Click Working Hours for each account to set when you are open for delivery.
Your status should change from "Offline" to "Connected" (and Green!).
Tip for GrubHub Users: GrubHub only approves new connections on Tuesdays. If it disappears or doesn't show "Connected" immediately, don't panic! It should appear the following Tuesday. π
Managing Your Delivery π‘
Menu Updates: Any changes you make to your menu in the NX Portal will automatically sync to your apps.
The "Magic" Fix: If your tablet menu looks different than your NX Portal, go to the Menu tab and click Publish Menu again to manual sync.
Take a Break: Use the Pause button on the Providers tab if the kitchen gets too busy and you need to stop incoming delivery orders temporarily. βΈοΈ
