Receipt Information and Formatting for an Area in the NX Restaurant Portal

The Receipts tab within the Areas configuration allows you to control how guest receipts and payment vouchers are formatted and printed for a specific area. You can also configure visual customizations and guest-facing features such as tip suggestions.

Receipt Formats

Receipt Format: Select the layout used for printed guest receipts in this area. Payment Voucher Format: Choose the format for payment vouchers. Print Customer Copy Payment Voucher: Toggle this setting on if you want a second (customer) copy of the payment voucher to print.

Receipt Customization

Customize the appearance and messaging on printed guest receipts:

• Image: Add a logo that will appear at the top of the receipt.
• Header: Enter text to appear above the receipt details.
• Footer: Add custom text or messaging at the bottom of the receipt.

Tip Suggestions

Tip suggestions can be displayed on printed guest receipts, online ordering pages, and rear guest displays. These suggestions help guide guests in tipping appropriately and can be configured in several ways.

Tip Calculations Options

• None: No tip suggestions are displayed.
• Percent: Allows you to enter three tip percentage values (e.g., 15%, 18%, 20%) that will be used to generate suggestions based on the order total or subtotal.
• Amount: Lets you enter three flat dollar values (e.g., $1.00, $2.00, $5.00) to be shown as suggested tip amounts.

Additional Settings

Threshold: Enter an amount to specify the minimum order total or subtotal required before tip suggestions will appear. 

Saving Changes

After making any updates, select Save in the lower right corner to apply the changes. Use Cancel to discard edits and return to the job list.
