Area Online Ordering Settings in the NX Restaurant Portal
The Online Ordering tab in the Areas configuration allows you to customize how online orders are received, handled, and presented for a specific area in NX Restaurant. This includes controlling the types of orders accepted, routing behaviors, notifications, and guest-facing images.
Online Ordering Settings
Online Ordering Activation
Active: Toggle this on to enable online ordering for the area. If disabled, online ordering will be unavailable regardless of other settings.
Order Controls
- Order Types: Select the types of orders allowed for guests (e.g., Pick Up, Delivery). These must align with the configured order types in the system.
- Revenue Center: Choose the revenue center to which online orders for this area will be reported.
- Default Price Point: Set the pricing tier used for this ordering page. This controls menu pricing visibility for online guests.
- Default Lead Time (minutes): The estimated time (in minutes) used to inform guests when their orders will be ready.
- Availability: Assign a Time Range to limit when online ordering is accepted for the area (e.g., Lunch, Always, Weekends).
Printing Notifications
Online Orders & DSP Receipt Printing: Configure which printer and receipt format will be used for incoming online and third-party (DSP) orders for order notification.
🔒 These settings are only for order notification and do not control any remote or KDS routing.
Loyalty Integration
Loyalty Plans: Select a loyalty plan (if configured) that allows guests to earn and redeem rewards when ordering online.
Order Notifications
- Email Notifications: Assign an employee to receive email alerts when an order is received for the area.
- SMS Notifications: Assign an employee to receive SMS alerts for incoming orders.
Guest-Facing Images
Header Logo / Main Image: Upload area-specific branding and images that guests will see on the online ordering page.
Saving Changes
After making any updates, select Save in the lower right corner to apply the changes. Use Cancel to discard edits and return to the job list.
