🏷️ Customizing Price Point Printing on Chits & Receipts
Requires NX POS App Version 1.5.12+
NX now provides powerful new controls for how Price Points appear on guest receipts 🧾 and kitchen chits 👨🍳, giving restaurants clearer labeling, smoother operations, and more flexibility. These features are available starting in NX App 1.5.12+.
🔍 What Are Price Points?
Price Points represent item variations — such as Small, Large, Happy Hour, To-Go, or any custom pricing level.
You can now control exactly how these appear when printed.
⚙️ Where to Configure Price Point Printing
Go to:
NX Portal → Configuration → Menus → Price Points → Select a Price Point
You’ll see a new Printing & Display section with customization options.
🧾 Receipt Printing Options
Display on Receipts
- Toggle this ON to show the Price Point on customer-facing receipts.
- Receipt Name
- Define how the Price Point should appear on receipts.
Examples:- “Small” → SM
- “Large” → LG
- “Happy Hour” → HH
- If left blank, the system uses the full Price Point name.
- Define how the Price Point should appear on receipts.
Receipt Position
- Choose where the Price Point prints relative to the item name:
- Prepend (before) – SM Caesar Salad
- Append (after) – Caesar Salad SM
- Choose where the Price Point prints relative to the item name:
👨🍳 Kitchen Chit Printing Options
- Display on Chits
- Toggle this ON to show the Price Point on kitchen chits.
- Chit Name
- Define how the Price Point should appear on kitchen tickets.
- Examples:
- “Small” → SM
- “Large” → L
- “Gluten Free” → GF
- If blank, the full name is used.
- Chit Position
- Choose whether the Price Point prints:
- Prepend (before)
- Append (after)
- Choose whether the Price Point prints:
⚡ Additional Price Point Controls
- Active
- Turns the Price Point on or off.
- Prompt
- When enabled, the POS will ask the user to choose a Price Point when ordering.
- Open Price
- Allows the user to manually enter a custom price for this option.
- Weight Based
- Marks the Price Point as a weight-based price, with support for tare weight.
