The Inventory control in the NX Restaurant portal ensures Menu Items stock availability is updated in real time across all NX platforms.
To manage the item inventory for a menu item
- From the Menu Item page, click Inventory to access the item’s attributes.
- Use the On Hand textbox to indicate the available amount of each menu item that can be purchased. When the On Hand number has reached zero, the menu item is sold out.
- Click to enable the Out of Stock slider to force the menu item to appear out of stock.
- Click to enable the Reset at Close Day slider to reset Out of Stock and On Hand values at the end of each business day.
- Use the Cost textbox to indicate the food cost of the menu item.
- In the Prep Instructions textbox, type an instructional description for preparing the menu item.
