Routing controls where a Menu Item is printed or displayed for requisition/preparation. Based on the Menu Items that are added to an Order and their routing settings, print jobs are created and sent to the devices where those items are being requested from.

Routing Destination
- The physical device the print job goes to. This can be a physical printer or kitchen display system (KDS).

Routing Group
- A grouping or collection of items that route to the same Routing Destination. These are predefined and then attached to each Menu Item as needed.
- A Routing Group has default Routing Destinations set. These can be also be overridden in the Area settings.

Routing Format
- The Routing Format controls the font size and information displayed on the header/footer for a printed chit.
