Managing Images in the NX Restaurant Portal

The Images section in the NX Restaurant Portal allows you to manage and organize photos used across the platform, such as branding images, menu item photos, background images, and other visual assets. These images are used in a variety of guest-facing experiences including online ordering, kiosk interfaces, menu boards, and the POS rear display.
Image Types and Organization
Images are stored and managed by scope:
- Enterprise Images – Shared assets available to all venues under the enterprise account.
- Venue Images – Location-specific assets that apply only to the selected venue.
You can toggle between Enterprise Images and Venue Images tabs at the top of the screen.
Accessing the Image Library
To manage your image assets:
- From the navigation menu, go to Configuration > Images.
- Choose the tab for either Enterprise Images or Venue Images.
- Use the Search Images bar to quickly locate an image by name.
Adding Images
- Click the + tile to upload a new image.
- Select Upload Image to view and search for an image to upload on your local device.
- Type a descriptive name in the Image Name field.
- Select the Save button when ready.
- Images will display in a card layout with a preview and a name label.
Uploaded images can be used for:
- Menu item thumbnails and pictures
- Background images on menu boards or kiosks
- Brand logos and icons
- Seasonal or promotional graphics
Each image becomes accessible through various configuration sections (e.g., the Online tab in Menu Items, menu board, guest display, etc.).
Removing Images
- Hover your mouse over an image.
- Select the Trash icon to remove the image.
Best Practices
- Use descriptive names for your images to improve search-ability.
- Maintain a consistent aspect ratio and resolution for image quality across devices.
- Remove unused or outdated images regularly to keep the library organized.
By managing images at both the enterprise and venue level, NX Restaurant provides flexibility to scale your branding and visual representation consistently across multiple locations.
