A Modifier Category contains groupings of Menu Items commonly used together as options or choices attached to another Menu Item in NX Restaurant. This Modifier Category once defined can be linked to multiple Menu Items to reduce the amount of repetitive configuration.
For example, the Menu Items of rare, medium rare, medium well, and well done are commonly grouped together and assigned to a Modifier Category of 'Meat Temp'. This Modifier Category can then be attached to all my steak Menu Items such as New York, Ribeye, and Filet so that when one is rang on an Order the user is prompted to select a cooking temperature.
