A Menu Item is the “ringable” object in NX Restaurant. Menu Items are “placed” in a Menu Category and provided for the User to select to add to an active Order. Once selected, the User may be prompted to select from various Quantity, Price Point, or Modifier options as dedicated by the configuration of the Menu Item.
Menu Items have Menu Item Options that are configured on the Menu Item. These options may dictate how the item is to be rang, how the item is to be calculated, how the item is to be represented on the check, how the item is to be printed and/or how the item is to be utilized across other functions of NX.
A Menu Item can have one or many prices configured and the price that is invoked when rang largely depends on the configuration. Prices can be dictated by a default price, user selection via Price Points, or via price overrides on a Menu Category or Area.
