Using NX KDS (Kitchen Display System)
NX KDS (Kitchen Display System) replaces printed prep tickets with a digital kitchen view, making it easier to manage, prioritize, and track orders in real time. Orders appear on screen and can be tagged, bumped, recalled, or printed as needed.
1. Viewing Station Information
Top Information Bar

Active Orders Count โ Number of orders currently displayed.

Average Bump Time โ Average time it takes to complete and bump orders.

Station Name โ Identifies which KDS station is in use.

Current Time โ Displays the device's local time.

Cloud Icon โ Tap to view device information, including network status and version.
2. Viewing and Managing Orders
Order Cards

Each order appears as a tile/card on the screen.

Details include item names, modifiers, order identifiers, and time since the order was sent.
Order Actions

Tag โ Tap to highlight or mark the order.

Print โ Tap to print a physical copy of the order if needed.

Note: A physical printer must be configured to use this function.

Bump โ Tap to mark the order as completed and remove it from the active view.

Recall (Unbump) โ Tap to bring a bumped order back to the active view.
3. Using All Day Counts
What is All Day?

The All Day view shows a real-time count of how many of each item still needs to be prepared across all active orders.
Modifier Tracking

Modifiers (e.g., cook temp, sides, special prep instructions) can be flagged to appear in All Day totals.

This helps ensure accurate prep quantities based on variations that affect timing or plating.
4. Summary of KDS Capabilities
